Day three of the kitchen work brought a new window, the rest of the floor out, and the rebuilding of the "header" between the two rooms of the kitchen. The re-headering (in technical terms, of course) really makes the kitchen feel bigger.
Last night, we cooked our first meal sans kitchen. It was grilled chicken tenders (on a mini-George Foreman) and green beans (steamed in the bag in the microwave). I had buffalo sauce to dip it in and it actually was really good. I'm sure this will get old but it works for now!
