Make this: Roasted Corn with basil-garlic butter

We celebrated a birthday on Monday of the Labor Day weekend with some friends and so of course that called for grilling (and a bouncie!). I brought the following to share with friends...

GRILLED CORN ON THE COB!

So the recipe calls for you to make a basil garlic Parmesan butter. I started with the butter (which was to be "softened") sitting out on the counter. But I needed to get things going, and it was hot outside... so I took the butter outside and let it soften out there in the sun:
And while I was at it, snapped a few shots of myself:
Once the butter was melted, I came back in and made my butter creation. I needed to be speedy, see, and so I used my ever useful herbs in a tube:
 I do love those things.

So I put all the ingredients together in a bowl:
Then brushed the butter onto the corn:
And got Jake to grill them. I didn't get a picture of them done because we ate them... but rest assured, they looked like grilled corn and they were yummy.

Recipe:
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
2 tablespoons finely chopped basil (MY TUBE STUFF WORKED WONDERS!)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic

4 ears of corn, husked

- Combine ingredients in bowl, mashing butter with back of fork while stirring seasonings
- Brush about 1 tbsp on each ear of corn, grill on Direct Medium heat until browned in spots and tender, turning occasionally

Recipe inspired by a recipe found in Weber's Real Grilling.
